Ian Gavet

Ian GavetIan GavetAs an Artist, Educator, Haircutter and Colorist, Ian has presented his work in Great Britain, Germany, Italy, France, Austria, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Iceland, Greece, Spain, Fiji, Australia, New Zealand, the former Yugoslavia, Canada, Korea and Mexico.

 Ian began his career in education in London, working and touring with Joshua Galvin (of Vidal Sassoon fame), as his Colorist.  Recognized by Wella Great Britain for his creativity and skill, Ian began touring as a featured presenter for Wella’s show events throughout Europe, Scandinavia, Australia and New Zealand.

In 1980, the Regis Corporation invited Ian to the United States to develop a comprehensive training program for their thousands of hairstylists with a focus on hair color and British precision haircutting techniques.  Thereafter, Ian became the Senior Director of Training for Regis, responsible for education, product quality and customer service training of tens of thousand of hairstylists worldwide. His efforts were instrumental in building the largest and most effective team of educators the industry had ever seen.  

Ian later became Vice President of Education for Kadus Hair Color USA, leaving in 2000 to pursue the development of several product ideas of his own.  He has subsequently developed and sold several product line concepts.

Ian has always continued his consulting and education business. His clients include a who’s who of the industry: Clairol, L’Oreal, Goldwell, Nioxin Research Laboratories, Schwarzkopf USA & Finland, Matrix, Denman Hair Brush Company, Amos Professional Color of Korea, L’Avant Garde, Urchin, Australia (featured presenter at 2006 Hair Expo in Sydney), Ergo Styling Tool (spearheaded the successful launch of their new breakthrough Hot Razor) and All-Nutrient Organic based Hair Color.

As an Artist, Educator, Haircutter and Colorist, Ian has presented his work in Great Britain, Germany, Italy, France, Austria, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Iceland, Greece, Spain, Fiji, Australia, New Zealand, the former Yugoslavia, Canada, Korea and Mexico.  

Ian innovator in hair design and hair color trends, Ian was featured at the World Hairdressing Congress in London at the Royal Albert Hall.  He was chosen by Clairol to complement the work of famed fashion designer Mary McFadden in Clairol’s TOPLOOK video, and was selected in 1983 by Japanese Planning Center of Tokyo as one of the world’s top hairdressing educators.

As representative of the hairdressing industry, whether as a spokesperson platform artist, on-camera talent or seminar leader, Ian has demonstrated utmost integrity, honesty and unparalleled knowledge and skill.   He has appeared on dozens of nationally syndicated and regional television and radio talk shows.
