Mez Varol Graduated from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. He founded the International Academy with his wife Paulette in 1981. He has helped thousands of students enter the Beauty Industry through the Academy, from all around the world. He is the immediate past President of the American Association of Cosmetology Schools. He is the President of the Florida Beauty Federation. Mez is an active, passionate, committed individual, promoting careers in the Beauty Industry.
Paul Barry has been in the beauty industry for 42 years. He started as a hairstylist and went on to become a salon owner, licensed instructor, platform artist and is currently the president of Barristar Student Services, a company involved in student tradeshows, competitions, kits, and education. Paul, along with his wife and partner, Georgia are committed to the cosmetology student." If Barristar is involved, it's good for the student." Paul also serves on the Advisory Board of The American Association of Cosmetology Schools.
Jesse Briggs is an internationally renowned artist, educator, salon owner, lecturer, inventor, author, and hair extention expert named as King of Extensions by New York Times. Briggs is the original creator of the new waving solution S Wave Thermal Set™ and known as King of theWave. He is the co-founder of Haircolor USA and Style Stars Global Hair Contest. Together with wife Flo Briggs, he has acted as a mentor to countless young stylists, colorists, and future salon owners.About Junior Style Stars
Junior Style Stars is for the enhancement of careers in the cosmetology field through providing the platform for the future hairstylist to develop their artistic skills. Unlike other competitions, Junior Style Stars allows all students, regardless of location, to compete on a completely level playing field, void of all the usual politics.
Each competitor competes on the identical mannequin and receives the same photography. All work must be done at the competitor’s beauty school under strict instructor supervision. Judging is done via the Internet. There are safeguards in place to insure total honesty.
